RWANDAIR READY TO LAUNCH TWO NEW WEST AFRICA DESTINATIONS WITHIN WEEKS

Benin and the Ivory Coast are the latest two West African countries to join the ever growing network of Rwanda’s national airline. Cotonou will come on line on the 02nd of September already while Abidjan flights will commence just a month later on the 08th of October. The two routes will be served with Boeing B737-700NG and Boeing B737-800 NG, both aircraft configured in a two class cabin of business and economy.
The two destinations will be combined with other West African waypoints, in the case of Cotonou with Douala and Libreville while Abidjan will be combined with Accra, as previously reported here and operate out of Kigali every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
RwandAir’s Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Jean Paul Nyirubutama commented as follows when making the announcement earlier today: ‘With the addition of these two destinations RwandAir continues to fulfill its mission of connecting Rwanda with West Africa to build sustainable ties among sister African cities and enable trade and tourism between the two countries‘.
When Cotonou and Abidjan are online will the number of destinations served by RwandAir have grown to 19 cities across the continent and in the United Arab Emirates. Mumbai and Guangzhou are expected to be added later in the year when the airline’s second Airbus A330 has been delivered before in Quarter 1 of 2017 Harare is expected to become destination 22. This will be followed by Durban in South Africa, becoming RwandAir’s 23rd destination.
