It was a warm welcome accorded to Mr. Ikechi Uko who came to throw his support behind the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo which
ended over the last weekend. Ikechi, who has many friends in East Africa and whose ATQ News are syndicated here on ATC News,
attended several key sessions, among them the launch of the East Africa Tourism Platform’s ‘Destination East Africa‘ web portal,
the presentation by the Kenya Tourism Board and notably the panel discussions and Ministerial Platform where UNWTO Secretary
General candidate Alain St. Ange explained his vision for the organization in the 21st century.
