We have more than 87 exhibitors and [expect] more than 5000 visitors who sign up for this show. 85% corporates buyers. 20 buyers and 52 media we partner with‘ said Deo Kilawe of Mikono Speakers International when informing about the upcoming trade expo in Dar es Salaam’s International Convention Centre. The event is due to take place between 17th and 18th of November. He went on to explain: ‘East Africa Tourism & Hospitality Conference and Trade Expo is designed to be the leading Tanzania’s business-to-customer (B2C) tourism and hospitality event which attracts representatives of the hospitality and tourism industry from East Africa region and other parts of the world. This event will ensure that Tourism and Hospitality companies have a chance to do Direct sales to Corporate bodies, General Public and Expatriate Communities in Tanzania. The event is designed to ensure that at the end of the event every exhibitor will be able to determine how much direct sales of their packages especially holiday packages have been sold to customers.

The Conference on the other hand targets mostly at the East Africa tourism and hospitality industry with the aim of bringing together all stakeholders under one roof to create room for networking, learning, business exchange as well as discussions on the current trends, opportunities, challenges as well as the future of these industries.

The combination of event is designed to open up the East Africa tourism and hospitality industry, especially Tanzania to the local market and the international market‘.
