The Executive Committee of Ecotourism Kenya (EK) wishes to announce the departure of Ms Edith Alusa as the CEO of Eco-tourism Kenya. We express our sincere gratitude for her unwavering dedication and exemplary leadership, which have been instrumental in guiding the organization and effectively representing our industry members. As she embarks on the next phase of her career, we extend our best wishes for continued success and fulfilment in all her endeavours. Edith leaves EK in a strong position for continued growth, and we sincerely thank her for her contributions and leadership in her time here. She will be greatly missed by the Board, members, and partners alike. We wish Edith the very best of luck in her future professional endeavours and look forward to continuing to collaborate with her.
On behalf of the executive committee, we are pleased to announce Ms Lynnet Kamonde’s appointment to Acting CEO with effect from August 03rd, 2023. Lynnet is a familiar face to many through her current role as Finance and Administration Manager; she has interacted with all of our members. She has been in the organization for ten years and has held the fort through ups and downs. She has been a crucial and sturdy support to the organization’s focus areas and projects.
Lynnet is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from KCA University. She has amassed experience and knowledge of finance, management, and administration. The executive board is confident she will carry the organization into the next phase for the time period.
The Board has commenced the due process to fill the vacancy, and the position is set to be filled competitively. Further updates to members will be provided in due course.
