CAIRO AND KIGALI NOW CONNECTED BY AIR
(Posted 03rd May 2019)
Egypt Air has commenced flight operations between Cairo and Kigali, serving the Rwandan capital city twice a week, on Thursday and Saturday.
The airline is using a Boeing B737-800NG on the route, configured in a two class cabin layout of Business and Economy.
The inaugural flight used a branded aircraft, with its livery showing the Egyptian national football team ahead of the start of the AFCON competition due to be hosted by Egypt in June this year.
The return flights will then leave Kigali on Friday and Sunday respectively and route via Entebbe, Uganda’s international airport, back to Cairo where connections into the regional and global Egypt Air network are then available.
Egypt Air is one of three Star Alliance members in Africa, the other two being South African Airways and most notably Ethiopian Airlines.
