#Emirates increases baggage allowances for flights to key African cities

EMIRATES’ ECONOMY CLASS PASSENGERS GET EXTRA BAGGAGE BONUS

Emirates has announced that they will up weight limits for economy class passengers to and from selected destinations in Africa.
This includes the highly competitive route to Nairobi to where the airline operates three daily flights, further denting the competitiveness of Kenya Airways on the route.
Also benefiting are passengers to and from Entebbe / Uganda, Dar es Salaam / Tanzania, Addis Ababa / Ethiopia but also Harare and Lusaka, among others.
Pakistan, Philippines, China and Bangladesh destinations too benefit from the same offer although the airline has pointed out that certain periods over the next couple of months will only see standard weight allowances for passengers traveling on peak dates.
The bonus baggage, which effectively expands the standard weight caps by up to ten kilos, is available for tickets booked until July 31st and is valid for trips until December 13th this year.
