The Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge is a platform to invite innovative ideas and solutions that goes beyond technology but are related to the travel and tourism industry for review and adjudication by a preeminent panel of industry leaders.
The winner of the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge will get a cash and in-kind prize worth USD 10,000, with US1000 to USD1500 in cash to support their idea. The first and second runners-up will receive a grant seed of USD5000.00 in cash and in-kind to assist their projects. Other benefits include complimentary enrollment in UNWTO short courses, mentorship, partnership, potential funding support, and career opportunities, as well as the opportunity to join an established network of Africa Youth in Tourism Mentors and Innovators and enrol in the Africa Tourism Innovation Hub.

THE AFRICA YOUTH IN TOURISM INNOVATION SUMMIT
Date: 28-31 May 2024
Venue: Windhoek, Namibia
Hosted under the theme: “Offering actionable solutions for Africa’s travel tech, tourism innovation, entrepreneurship and youth employability”. The 6th and 2024 Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit & Challenge will be hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Namibia. The major focal areas will include, but are not limited to, youth entrepreneurship, student immersion in innovation, small business development, personal change, and self-actualisation.
Delegates will network with African and global tourism leaders, entrepreneurial innovators, and partner organisations from Africa and throughout the world.
Attendance at the summit is free, but the participant is responsible for their own hotel and transportation costs.
INVITATION TO JOIN THE AFRICA TOURISM PRIVATE SECTOR ALLIANCE (ATPSA).
Africa Tourism Partners invites your association/organisation to join the Africa Tourism Private Sector Alliance. Endorsed by the Africa Free Continental Trade Area (AfCFTA) on the 4th of October 2023 in Gaborone, Botswana, the Africa Tourism Private Sector Alliance (ATPSA), is the only Pan-African apex body and platform for national tourism private sector associations and organisations for African Union Member states.
Birthed on the margins of ATLF 2022 in Botswana, the ATPSA will serve as a single voice and platform for positioning Tourism as priority sector across all African countries. The primary role of the body is to advocate for the removal of barriers to intra-Africa travel such as visa-free travel for Africans within Africa, improved connectivity within African countries, reduced cost of air travel across Africa, promotion of Africa under the “Brand Africa” banner in collaboration with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
