ERITREAN AIRLINES BOOSTS FLEET THROUGH LEASED B734

Eritrean last week took delivery of a Boeing B737-400 aircraft from Ukrainian lessor / operator Yanair.
The aircraft on delivery was registered as UR-CNP which was ferried to Asmara on the 27th of November before being deployed the following day already on services to Khartoum and Addis Ababa before performing more flights over the following days to Jeddah, Addis and Khartoum.
The immediate deployment suggests that the 31 year old aircraft has been wetleased from Yanair.
The aircraft’s MSN was given as 23980 LN:1667, first took to the skies in January 1989 and has a seat configuration of 168 all economy and was previously operated by such airlines as Asiana, Virgin (Blue, Express, France Express) and East Air before in 2015 joining the Yanair fleet.
