NEW DJIBOUTI TO ETHIOPIA HIGHWAY OFFICIALLY INAUGURATED

Funded by Kuwait was the new 112 km long highway from the Djibouti port town of Tadjourah to the Ethiopian border town of Balho inaugurated by President Omar Guelleh earlier this week.
Together with another existing major highway and an electrified railway line between Djibouti and Ethiopia is the new road further adding to the infrastructure the two countries have created in order to avail Ethiopia access to the ocean through the two key ports in Djibouti.
The two countries have several infrastructure projects linking the two economies and also have regular air connections through Ethiopian Airlines between Addis Ababa and Djibouti.
