TEN NEW ROUTES BETWEEN NOW AND JULY FOR ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES

Ethiopian Airlines will over the next five and a half months launch ten new routes, according to CEO Tewolde Gebremariam a record for the carrier. Said Gebremariam: ‘Between now and June we are going to open ten new destinations, almost two destinations every single month. That is a record in our history‘.
Among the new routes, in Africa and across the rest of the world, will be Kisangani, Congo DR, Toamasina, Madagascar and Port Louis, Mauritius in Africa. Further abroad will Buenos Aires, Argentina come on line but also Geneva and Barcelona in Europe. This will be followed by Istanbul, Turkey and Jakarta, Indonesia. It is yet to be decided if either Houston or Chicago will be added as yet another US destinations after New York, Washington and Los Angeles.
It was also confirmed that Ethiopian Airlines will take delivery of their first Boeing B737MAX in June this year as the carriers fleet renewal and fleet enlargement gains further momentum.
