The Ethiopian Airlines Group, the largest airline group in Africa, is pleased to announce the
expansion of its domestic services to South-Western Ethiopia with a thrice weekly
passenger services to be reinstated to Dembi Dollo starting from February 26, 2024.
The new thrice weekly service commences operation as per the below schedule.
Regarding the commencement of the new services Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr.
Mesfin Tasew said: “We are pleased to announce the reconnection of Dembi Dolo to Addis Ababa and the rest of our domestic network by air. This air service provides a safe and convenient means of transport for the people of Dembi Dolo and the surrounding area. Additionally, we believe that this air service will stimulate socio-economic development in the region by facilitating tourism, trade, and investment. This initiative demonstrates Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to developing air transport services throughout Ethiopia.”
The commencement of the new passenger service to Dembi Dollo allows convenient
travel to the South-Western part of Ethiopia. Ethiopian Airlines operates passenger
flights to 22 domestic destinations in Ethiopia. The group is working on enhancing
domestic airport facilities and passenger experience. Reinforcing this commitment,
Ethiopian will continue to renovate and expand domestic airports across the country.
It is to be recalled that Ethiopian Airlines is one of the leading carriers in Africa with
