Ambassador Johan Borgstam, Head of the European Union Delegation to Ethiopia responded saying:”The EU Delegation to Ethiopia is proud to partner with Ethiopian Airlines Aviation Academy on this important project that will provide quality education to young Ethiopians. Investing in training and education is critical for the realization of Ethiopia’s development strategy. The European Union invests heavily in human capital development in Ethiopia and supports government efforts to improve the business environment and the implementation of the industrialization agenda. It is our firm conviction that this will help addressing the challenges of youth unemployment as well as ensuring the successful implementation of the second phase of the country’s Growth and Transformation Plan.”
