#ATTA TAKES PROMOTING TRAVEL TO #AFRICA TO THE NEXT LEVEL
(Posted 14th November 2017)
At the recent ATTA cocktail event during WTM London, Charlotte Beauvoisin, Publisher of Diary of a Muzungu www.diaryofamuzungu.com – a partner to ATCNews.org – had an opportunity to learn about Experience Africa which inaugural event is scheduled to take place between 25th and 27th of June 2018.
The template for this new ATTA event is based on the successful Experience Latin America exhibitions.
Byron Shirto, Director of Talking Stick, organisers of this event tells ATC News: ‘The aim of Experience Africa is to address a gap in the market. PURE and other shows offer a new style of trade event but for the luxury market only. Experience Africa represents a renaissance of a trade show that offers broader experiences, whether overlanding or 5 star luxury camping, for example. Experience Africa will bring together all key players. Not only will we engage with hosted buyers; we’ll also engage with senior sales people‘.
Experience Africa aims to provide a more relaxed setting in which to conduct business. In contrast to the white walls of Excel (last week’s venue for WTM London) and more traditional conference venues, the 32nd floor of Canary Wharf provides panoramic views across the capital of the U.K. The penthouse at the top of Canary Wharf will be themed for the event and registration will include seminars, lunches, evening events, entertainment and networking opportunities for all.
The organisers are expecting to host 120 exhibitors from Africa and 300 buyers from Europe with 44 ‘match-making’ appointments available. The aim of the event is to increase the number of visitors to Africa from UK and Europe, currently standing at 5% and 7 % respectively.
Experience Africa is open to both ATTA and non-ATTA members. Registration costs are:

Non members

Regular cost £2900
