THREE A319’S AND ONE E190 WILL MAKE UP FASTJET’S FLEET FOR THE TIME BEING

The turbulent month of October is over and Fastjet’s scheduled operations have stabilized after the introduction of another leased Airbus A319 during the month of November.
Presently operating with three aircraft, two Airbus A319’s and on Embraer E190, has the airline after the arrival of a third A319 once again the capacity to serve its customers by operating all scheduled flights as per the published departure times.
An Air Bulgaria A319 will be placed in Harare after the Zimbabwe CAA approved the lease, though the planned introduction of smaller aircraft may take some more time to be added to the existing AOC, short for Air Operator Certificate.
In Tanzania will from that time onwards three aircraft operate domestic services plus flights to Nairobi, Entebbe, Johannesburg, Lusaka and Harare, two of which are A319’s 5H-FJD and Z-FJE and one of the Air Bulgaria E190’s.
Said a source close to the airlines ‘This will be the fleet composition until further notice‘, further notice meaning that when the company has moved their HQ to Johannesburg full attention will be given to restructure this fleet.
Meanwhile has the airline also recorded an immediate success of going into GDS with sales by agents, who can now pay via BSP, supporting the measure with a sharp rise in bookings.
