(Posted 27th October 2017)
Fastjet yesterday launched its new fare structure in Tanzania. This week also sees the first in Fastjet’s new fleet of Embraer E190 aircraft enter service with its first flight scheduled for next week. The new fare products went live on reservation systems yesterday, Thursday 26th of October.
‘Fastjet listens to its customers and we continue to say thank you to Tanzania by developing innovative products and introducing our new fleet‘ said the airline’s Tanzania spokesperson Lucy Mbogoro before adding: ‘We value our passengers, and that shows our renewed commitment to customer service and flexible product development. We look forward to the launch of our new fare structure that makes flying even more accessible and affordable for both business and leisure travellers‘.
With immediate effect, when purchasing a flight, passengers have the option of selecting either:
a) Big Saver- a basic flight for travel to their destination. This fare includes 7kg hand luggage but excludes all checked baggage, which will be charged for and can be paid in advance or at check in.
b) Achiever – this all-inclusive product includes your flight, 7kg hand luggage, one 23kg check-in bag and one free route or date and time change.(excluding fare differences)
The new Embraer E190 aircraft, which is shown above, replaces the Airbus A319 that was used in Tanzania and other Fastjet locations before. The new aircraft type offers good legroom, a modern interior and comfortable seating.
Concluded Ms. Mbogoro: ‘Even better is that there is no middle seat, which means everyone will sit on either an aisle or a window seat, Even the windows are larger in design, allowing for better views during flight and more natural light inside the cabin. It is very exciting as we launch all our product improvements into Tanzania. It is part of our commitment to improve every aspect of our service offering to our customers‘.
