KENYA AIRWAYS DUE TO RESUME BUJUMBURA SERVICES AS AIRPORT REOPENS
(Posted 12th December 2015)
Kenya Airways has a short while ago confirmed that they intend to resume services between Nairobi and Bujumbura, after the airport has reopened. The first flight will leave Nairobi tomorrow morning while a second flight will leave in the afternoon. The night flight will for the time being remain cancelled, very likely as a result of the curfew which has been imposed in Burundi’s capital following the intense fighting two days ago.

It could not be immediately ascertained if RwandAir will also resume services nor could feedback be obtained from other airlines flying to Bujumbura. Brussels Airlines had already reduced their twice weekly flights to just one and other airlines are said to be struggling with low loadfactors into Bujumbura.
