Arusha Airport (ARK) has now been declared an International Airport.
This means travelers can now use Arusha as both an entry and exit point for international travel.
This development strengthens Arusha’s position as a premier hub for both tourism and business.
It especially allows travelers arriving from abroad into Arusha to connect with ease to their first safari destination by air, checking in for their safari flight after clearing immigration and customs.
A wide range of flight services to all key national parks and game reserves operate out of Arusha, in fact substantially more than from Kilimanjaro International Airport, making arrivals in Arusha a matter of first choice.
