NEW NAME NEW GAME FOR FLY-SAX?
(Posted 18th March 2019)
East African Safari Air Express Limited, until now trading as ‘Fly-Sax‘ has almost quietly changed its trading name to ‘EastAfrican‘, arguably in an effort to leave the negative publicity over the June 2018 crash of a Cessna C208B Grand Caravan behind it.
At the time did their Grand Caravan aircraft, enroute on a scheduled flight from Kitale in Western Kenya to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, apparently receive instructions to change course and proceed first to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, subsequently crashing into the Aberdare mountain range.
The airline – East African Safari Air Express Limited – is fully owned by Kenya’s Fly Five Fourty Aviation Limited, trading as Fly540, which itself serves a number of domestic routes in Kenya.
