An aged Fokker 27 cargo aircraft, which reportedly had its first flight in 1968, crashed on take off in Juba.
The aircraft actually stayed the tarmac and ended up on the belly at the very end of runway with retracted gear.

The flight, carrying a crew of 3, none of whom was injured in the accidend, was destined to go to Malakal in the northern part of South Sudan.
The aircraft, leased from a Kenyan company, bears the registration 5Y-CCE, MSN 10370, and according to information received was operated by Icon Aviation / South Sudan.
The registered owner though appears to be Cargo2Fly in Kenya.
South Sudan has one of Africa’s worst aviation safety records, in part caused by the use of old and very old aircraft with maintenance, or lack thereof, regularly cited as reasons for accidents.
