IT IS ALL ABOUT FOOD OVER THE EASTER WEEKEND IN LAMU, MALINDI AND WATAMU

In Lamu, Malindi and Watamu it will be all about food this Easter weekend and visitors to these destinations can expect to find a great variety of local dishes. In Lamu in fact it will be Kenya’s first celebrity chef, Chef Ali Mandhry, who will perform his craft. The festival will feature a street food bazaar, performances from renowned musician Zein Al’Abdin, traditional dances and showcase the dishes prepared by a number of culinary experts.

In Malindi are tourism stakeholders joining hands with neighbouring Watamu to also organize a food festival, which will be taking place at the Malindi Museum under the theme ‘Dream it, Live it, Love it’.

All these activities are supported by the Kenya Tourism Board which is continuing to promote their #TembeaKenya theme, encouraging Kenyans, expatriates living in Kenya and citizens from neighbouring countries in the East African Community to come to the Kenya coast and enjoy a vacation, with more on offer this Easter than just an egg hunt.

Intending travelers can take a hint where to stay in Malindi from a series of recent articles featuring resorts and destinations along the coast north of Mombasa where they can be sure to receive excellent services and enjoy sun and sand for a long weekend.
