Data received from Victoria, the Seychelles’ capital city, confirm the trend of the past months, that French visitors have once again become the leading source of travelers to the paradise islands.
With market recovery generally well underway, have the French topped the arrival lists after the first four months of the year, with 14.852 visitors, followed by Germany in third place with 11.587.
A few days ago were 104.126 entries recorded in Seychelles, an increase over 2021 of nearly 500 percent as visitor numbers had in the face of the Covid19 onslaught reduced to just over 18.000 a year ago.
Germany is expected to rise to the number two position over the course of the year as the number of Russians visiting the Seychelles continues to reduce as a result of the heavy sanction their country is suffering following the war of aggression against the Ukraine.
Tourism Seychelles has for the past few weeks been active in the French, Belgian and other EU markets, driving the message that for fully vaccinated travelers no testing is required any longer – although a pre-registration prior to arrival must now be filed.
Seychelles remains a country with no Visa requirements for any nationality around the globe.
