France’s Accor Hotels takes over Tune Inn Nairobi

ACCOR HOTELS SET TO REBRAND NAIROBI’S TUNE INN UNDER THEIR IBIS ‘STYLES‘ BRAND

(Posted 05th June 2017)

It is understood from usually well informed sources in Nairobi that the Tune Inn, a three star budget hotel in the Westlands area of the Kenyan capital, has undergone a change in management.
Accor of France, already managing the Fairmont properties in Kenya after acquiring that brand from its former owners, is reportedly set to rebrand the property later this year as an ‘IBIS Styles‘, one of their low cost brands popular across Europe.
The deal was signed earlier today in Nairobi and paves the way for a further expansion of the Accor footprint, not just in Kenya but the wider Eastern African region where Accor is eyeing expansion.
The Tune Inn offers 280 rooms spread over 11 floors, all providing the basics a traveler needs but not any extras which guests have to purchase separately.
