Gorilla Highlands News is Here, At Last 

Years in the making, the newsletter to keep the Gorilla Highlands initiativeproperly informed is finally ready. In our first ever partner survey (you really should read the report!) you told us it should be quarterly, so you can expect the next edition in September 2018.

Assisted by the French Institute of Bukavu and Goma, Gorilla Highlands News will get a French language version soon. We want our Congolese friends to still feel included, even though the latest events force us to postpone putting the DRC in the Pocket Guide.

In light of that, we need to end this intro with a wish for peace…

The WhatsApp edition of this newsletter is a 333 KB PDF with links, sized to be readable from a phone screen. It was envisaged to serve the needs of those who do not do (much) email, especially our partners’ staff members — our desire is to spread the idea of cooperation and provide learning opportunities to all. Pocket Guide #7 to be Printed in July! 

The prototype of the Gorilla Highlands Pocket Guide devoted a number of pages to DR Congo. We have been forced to save most of them for later, however, the cute kids of Kahuzi-Biega will continue to grace the cover. You can download the updated draft here.
