(Posted 11th March 2025)
Please be informed that we are introducing the following changes to our scheduled operations to/from Kigali (RW), with immediate effect:
- The route will now be operated with a minimum of 4 full paying passengers (from a previous minimum of 2), which is in line with the conditions applied by other general aviation companies operating this route.
- An extra seat supplement or “inducement seat” will be charged to smaller parties for each seat below the minimum requirement.
- The supplement will be refundable in full, should the flight eventually operate with at least 4 full paying passengers per direction (or 8 in total per run).
- Fares have been slightly adjusted, mostly on the downside, as per the updated schedule below.
- Passenger taxes have been instead incremented to include new fees and levies introduced on the route.
As usual our changes are NOT retroactive, so please rest assured that any booking already confirmed will be honoured at the previous conditions.
However, any further amendments to existing bookings, will lead to the application of the new policy.
THE KIGALI ROUTE
Grumeti Air’s connection between the Serengeti and Kigali makes it possible to combine in the same itinerary the mountain gorillas in Rwanda and the great migration in the Serengeti plains.
This is the most direct connection available on the market, with fewer stops, no inconvenient diversions and operated in a comfortable 10-seats configuration.
The route operates 3 times a week on Monday/Wednesday/Friday from any Serengeti airstrip to Kigali, via Mwanza for immigration procedures, and vice versa.
Three more days a week (Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday) we offer the connection in code share with Coastal Air, with same times and same rates.
During low season (06 January to 15 May and 01 November to 14 December) or in the short term (two months prior to departure) we reserve the right to reduce the frequency to one flight per week, on a first come/first served basis.
