ATCNews wishes to apologize for the inconvenience suffered by subscribers and site visitors who had problems overnight to access the site.
A hack attempt and DoS attack was carried out and the site provider immediately activated safety measures to ensure that no personal data were accessed, altered or lost.
The perpetrators are now being tracked down to allow for legal measures to take place.
Hack attacks sadly are a regular occurance but apart from tonight, when added security measures had to be activated, the main security system is denying access to hackers.
Since moving to the new platform provider in December 2022 did the system catch nearly 90.000 attempts to infiltrate the system, all successfully stopped in their tracks.
