VIP HELICOPTER CRASHES INSIDE LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK WITH ALL ON BOARD FEARED DEAD

A privately owned helicopter with no confirmed registration details at this time earlier today reportedly came down inside the Lake Nakuru National Park. The Aerospatiale AS 350B3 was according to information enroute from Nakuru to Narok with five people on board, including one pilot. The time of the crash was just before 7 a.m.
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Director General Gilbert Kibe confirmed a short while ago that there were indeed five on board, including the pilot, three male passengers and a female passenger.
He also clarified that the aircraft is owned by Flex Air Charters run by a Captain Bootsy Mutiso and not as was widely claimed in social and regular media by President Kenyatta.
Nakuru Senator Mrs. Susan Kihika said later on that three of those on board were members of her communication team and that the helicopter had taken off from Jarika County Lodge enroute to a political rally in Narok.
Latest reports still count all five on board as missing and hope to find any of them alive are fading given the helicopter crashed into the waters of the lake and the wreckage is submerged.
Deepest sympathy and sincere condolences are expressed to the families and friends of those on board the stricken aircraft.
