A Eurocopter AS 350B3 Ecureuil, owned and operated by Corporate Helicoptersz, registered as 5Y-DSB and MSN 7183, crashed earlier today near Mosop, Nandi County / Kenya.
The flight had reportedly taken off from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and was enroute to an upcountry location.
All six on board, including a member of parliament, were reported to have been killed in the fiery crash and the wreckage of the helicopter was completely destroyed in the fire.
It is understood that adverse weather condition existed at the time and a bad weather warning had been issued by the Kenya Meteorological Department.
An Air Accident Investigation is now underway to establish the cause of the accident.
