The Okomu National Park in Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State may not be among the most popular national parks in Nigeria but it has been identified as one of the largest remaining natural and primary rainforest habitats in the country. It is particularly known as a prime spot for bird watching and spotting endangered primates like white-throated monkeys, forest elephants, pangolins, forest buffalos, leopards, and chimpanzees, among others; attracting both local and international visitors.
