SWAHILI FASHION WEEK ANNOUNCES 2015 DATES

Mustafa Hassanali, Tanzania’s best known fashion guru and promoter of Swahili fashion across the continent of Africa, has yesterday confirmed the dates for the 2015 event.
The eight edition of what has become Eastern and Central Africa’s largest fashion event has been scheduled to take place between the 04th and 06th of December in Dar es Salaam and some of Africa’s most promising young designers will showcase their collections when the models take to the runway on opening night.
Mustafa, passionate about all things fashion, this year already spread his reach to the Seychelles and to the Comoros and will attend a few more African events to show off what fashion hotbed East Africa is creating in terms of wear and accessories.
Venue and programme will be available here very soon, as top designers and top models are signed up for Tanzania’s biggest fashion weekend of the year though model selections for young aspirants will as usual take place in the run up of the event to bring, as every year, new faces to the runway.
Fashion events have in recent years carved out a noticeable segment in regional tourism as the media, professional designers, buyers and ordinary fashion aficionados flock to such events in growing numbers to stay abreast with the latest designs and colour combinations, fabrics and styles. Indeed have seats on the front row of the runway become some of the hottest tickets in town when such events are scheduled and those are often sold out months in advance to the delight of the organizers.
