An epic Elephant Walk across Eastern Africa by Jim Justus Nyamu will this Monday morning, 06th of November, come to an end. Jim and his large group of supporters in Nairobi will walk the final leg from the National Museum of Kenya to the entrance of the Nairobi National Park.
The venue has been given as the Kenya Wildlife Service headquarters in Langata and a number of dignitaries and key figures from the conservation fraternity are expected to be at the event, welcome Jim and his team back to the starting point of the walk and address participants.
Jim has now walked over 27.000 kilometres in support of elephant conservation and was warmly received in Uganda – where he walked two sections after fist entering from Kenya and then returning to the country again – but also in Rwanda and the DR Congo. Wildlife conservation and protection agencies as well as other government institutions and private sector players were fully supportive of the walk which attracted huge medial attention.
