SAROVA HOTELS APPOINT NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

Following the tragic accident of J.S. Vohra, popularly known as ‘Pinky’ among his friends, in November last year, has the Board of Directors of Sarova Hotels now appointed Mr. Jimi Kariuki as the new Managing Director and CEO.
Jimi – who is also the current Chairman of the Kenya Tourism Board – until last weekend served as the company’s Director of Sales and Marketing before being elevated to the top job.
Jimi Kariuki’s father, John Kariuki, himself looks back at a long and very distinguished career at Sarova Hotels since the very early days of the company when they bought the New Stanley Hotel, serving for an extended period as Executive Director and since 2014 as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
While still mourning my friend ‘Pinky’ go all the best wishes to Jimi for his new challenge as a company CEO and to Sarova Hotels for the years ahead.
