KAMPALA’S BEST HOTEL GEARS UP FOR POST LOCKDOWN REOPENING

The Kampala Serena Hotel, like many other top ranked hospitality businesses in Kampala and Uganda, was compelled to literally close shop when the government closed the airport for international scheduled passenger traffic on the 22nd of March and alongside also closed the land borders to keep the virus pandemic out of the country.
What followed was a nearly three months long lockdown which made trading without guests impossible, leading to the Kampala Serena Hotel to temporarily close down.
The company did not let the time pass by unutilized and embarked on a series of renovations and upgrades which will benefit guests when business resumes next Wednesday.
Serena Hotels have, besides meeting the requirements of the Ugandan health authorities also instituted a group wide health and safety protocol, which will ensure maximum protection for staff and guests, once business goes underway again. Serena operates lodges, resorts and city hotels in Kenya, Tanzania – including Zanzibar – Mozambique, Rwanda and Uganda.
