HILTON GARDEN INN SET FOR MID TO LATE APRIL SOFT OPENING
(Posted 02nd March 2019)
The new Hilton Garden Inn Kampala is by the look of it now just weeks rather than months away from the expected soft opening, which can take place as early as mid April but almost certainly by end April this year.
Final touches are being put on the hotel, staff training is in high gear and once open will visitors to Kampala have the added choice of another international branded hotel.
96 rooms and suites will then be ready to receive guests and in the best HGI tradition will an all day dining restaurant serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and meals in between.
Three meeting rooms will be available, adding much needed quality conferencing capacity into the Kampala market.
For guests in need to relax or work out will an outdoor pool and a fitness centre be available.
Located almost directly opposite from the British High Commission and close to the head office of the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the Uganda National Museum is one of Kampala’s major shopping malls, the Acacia Mall, just a few minutes walk away. A taxi ride to the Kitante Golf Course of the Uganda Golf Union takes, traffic permitting, also just a few minutes.
Already in situ for some time now is General Manager Sanjeev Tiwari who, having worked in Kenya before, knows East Africa well and who brings much experience from previous appointments to Kampala with him.
