One of Kampala’s leading deli shops, Le Gourmet on Quality Hill, has taken active measures towards greater sustainability in its operation.
The company introduced e-Bikes for courier deliveries of items ordered on line, a first for Uganda if not Eastern Africa.
Also installed were sufficient solar panels on the roofs to have ‘green‘ electricity to power their stores, besides making them independent from the regular power cuts experienced in the city.
The company also confirmed to ATCNews that the management of their own livestock ranch and farm has added extra focus on modern, sustainble ranching and farming methods, aimed to further enhance sustainability across their operation.
