MORE ROOMS FOR KAMPALA AS NEW HOTEL OPENS ITS DOORS NEXT WEEK

(Posted 09th December 2017)

Given the confidence that Uganda will see an improved economy in 2018 and that in particular tourism will see a rise in visitor numbers next year, it is of little surprise that new hotels are opening up in the capital Kampala.
Next to open, this coming Monday 11th of December, are the Mestil Hotel & Residences in Nsambya, a suburb just outside the city centre.
The 23 Executive Rooms are in addition to the regular hotel room comfort also offering a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and a stove, making for improved living quality for guests staying longer than just a few nights.
27 one bedroom suites, 42 two bedroom residences and six three bedroom penthouse residences will provide superior furnishings and are targeting guests staying longer but not wanting to burden themselves with the renting of houses and the related expenses and headaches of having to employ domestic and gardening staff and retain the services of a security company.

The contemporary Amber Restaurant, open from 06.30 hrs till 23.00 hrs, offers guests a venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner but also in between snacks and specialises in continental cuisine. The restaurant is complemented by the Times Bar, which opens at 11.00 hrs and closes at midnight.

A lobby coffee shop and a pool bar complete the F&B outlets in the new hotel and are open from 07.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs and 10.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs respectively.

Four meeting rooms and a business centre, equipped with state of the art technology, are available for bookings and offer seating capacities between 10 (boardroom set up), 60 (two function rooms) up to 120 clients.

A state of the art gym will soon be followed by the opening of the Sanaar Spa.

Broadband WiFi is available for guests throughout the premises and ample secure parking provided also catering for non resident visitors. Also available is a minimart on the compound where guests can shop for their daily necessities as well as a laundromat.

Given the location of the new hotel and residences will Mestil no doubt quickly build up occupancy and see their restaurant business thrive for as long as General Manager Sven keeps an eye on service delivery, food quality and upkeep.
