Kenya Airways flights expected to operate as per schedule from tomorrow

PILOTS BACK DOWN AS CONTEMPT OF COURT CHARGES LOOM OVER THEIR HEADS

(Posted 17th October 2016)

Kenya Airways earlier this evening announced that the airline expects all flights to operate as per the normal schedule after the Kenya Pilots Union called off their illegal industrial action. It is understood that efforts were being made to bring contempt of court charges against pilots and their union bosses after they ignored a court order and caused the airline tens of millions of Kenya Shillings in losses as a result of delayed and cancelled flights earlier in the week.

The following statement was received from KQ:

Kenya Airways wishes to announce that all operations will be as per plan tomorrow following the suspension of the industrial action called by the Kenya Airline Pilots Association (KALPA).

We advise all our guests to check their flights prior to departure through our KQ mobile app, website or 24HR Contact Centre. We will continue to give regular updates via Social Media pages.
