KENYA AIRWAYS’ FLIGHTS TO ABUJUA SET FOR JUNE

The long awaited direct flights by Kenya Airways’ to the Nigerian capital city of Abjua will finally commence in June this year with initially four services per week.
It is Kenya Airways’ declared intent to fly, by the end of 2015, to every political and commercial capital in Africa, offering seamless connections for travellers to and from Africa into their growing global network, and the launch of Abuja flights is part of that strategy.
The new flights will bring the number of services from Nairobi to Nigeria to 14 per week as Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, is connected with daily nonstop flights plus three more flights combined with other West African destinations.
Meanwhile has Kenya Airways yesterday confirmed the resumption of flights to Freetown / Sierra Leone after the airport authority brought in a regular fire fighting trucks allowing to have the airport re-certified by ICAO, which had downgraded Lungi International Airport last weekend when discovering the lack of fire fighting capacity. The sole dedicated fire fighting truck had broken down and is now under repair according to global aviation news services.
