EVERY SHILLING COUNTS AS KENYA AIRWAYS SIGNS UP WITH SABRE FOR REVENUE OPTIMIZATION
(Posted 22nd July 2017)
Kenya Airways is looking to more fully exploit potential revenue streams when the airline introduced the latest SABRE software available on the market for their online group booking portal.
This latest technology will give customers a better booking experience when using the online portal while at the same time giving the airline the power to make decisions if to accept or decline the booking as revenue projections now influence system recommendations.
Sabre’s AirVision Group Optimizer platform will help Kenya Airways to recognize group revenue management decision processes and provide a greater overview of each booking.
Sabre’s Group Optimizer allows Kenya Airways to compare the potential revenue opportunity from a new group reservation request against the projected revenue for individually-sold seats on the same flight, automatically selecting the most profitable option of group versus individual travelers.
By using automation in this hitherto manual process, the Group Optimizer software will improve Kenya Airways’ reaction time while optimizing revenues.
SABRE sources have suggested that the use of the new software might improve revenue by as much as two percent.
