A 21 year old Cessna Grand Caravan, registered in Kenya as 5Y-LJM, MSN 208B1091, yesterday reportedly veered off the runway while landing at Bunia Airport (BUX/FZKA).
While the aircraft sustained substantial damage were the two occupants apparently not injured.
Initial findings point to a failure of the aircraft’s brakes as the cause of the accident and a full air accident investigation is now underway.
