Said KTB in a media release:

We take this opportunity to reassure you of the peace and calm that continues to prevail in Kenya after the Supreme Court ruling on Presidential election.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has set the 17th of October 2017, as a new date for the repeat of Presidential Election.

Election is part of our democratic process held every five years as per our progressive constitution.

We wish to reiterate that the forthcoming election has in no way deterred ongoing or planned economic activities or programs in the country. The 7th edition of MKTE scheduled for the 3rd to 5th October, 2017 is not an exception.

Indeed, preparations for the expo are in high gear with over 132 hosted buyers and 140 exhibitors already confirmed for participation.

Furthermore, a record 1,500 pre-scheduled Business to Business (B2B) meetings between Kenyan Tourism Trade and Travel Agents from key source markets has been confirmed.

We wish to assure you that all contracts will be honored and remain in place. Should you require additional information please contact us through; ceo ; amanda

We are pleased with 16.7% year on year increase in tourism numbers and we look forward to continued growth.

We welcome you to MKTE 2017 and look forward to saying Karibu Kenya on your arrival
