TOBS KENYA GOLF SAFARI ANOINTED AS KENYA’S BEST GOLF OPERATOR

Just weeks after Vipingo Ridge was named as East Africa’s first PGS approved championship golf course did Tob Cohen’s Kenya Golf Safaris reclaim top spot at the recently ended World Golf Awards 2016 held last night at the Conrad in the Algarve / Portugal.
The 3rd World Golf Awards serve to celebrate and reward excellence in golf tourism, world class courses, specialised golf tour operators and golf destinations. Golf tourism constitutes a vital segment in the global travel and tourism marketplace.
An estimated 60 million golfer visits will take place in 2016 to the 32,000 golf courses and resorts worldwide.
The 2016 World Golf Awards focused on the leading 130 nations which are shaping the future of this dynamic industry while celebrating and rewarding excellence across golf courses, golf tour operators and the golfing destinations throughout the world,
World Golf Awards strive to raise the golf tourist customer experience and stimulate both the domestic and international golf tourism market.
The worldwide voting process began already on March 1st and votes were cast by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry, senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, agents and media professionals.

In Tanzania too, near Moshi, has a private golf estate opened its doors, KiliGolf, triggering a miniwave of golf course estate developments in the entire Eastern African region.
