#HILTON SET FOR MARKET ENTRY IN #KIGALI THROUGH ITS DOUBLE TREE BRAND

Hilton Hotels is preparing for their first ever market entry into Rwanda, where the Ubumwe Grande Hotel will according to information received become a Double Tree by Hilton franchise.
The hotel’s 153 rooms and apartments are presently being brought up to the brand standards for Double Tree properties. It is expected that the launch of the new brand name, Double Tree by Hilton Kigali City Centre, will take place sometime in 2018 when full conversion has been accomplished.
Opened in 2016 ahead of the African Union Summit has the hotel established itself as leading four star hotel in the Rwandan capital and the rebranding will no doubt add extra incentives for the hotel’s regular guests and make it even more popular.
This is the second new deal Hilton Hotels has been signing and announcing in East Africa after also taking the Amber Hotel in Nairobi under their wings from the end of this year as Double Tree by Hilton Nairobi Hurlingham.
