TWELVE VIRUNGA RANGERS KILLED IN WORST ATTACK EVER

In the deadliest attack ever against park rangers based inside the Virunga National Park in Eastern Congo, were 12 of the brave individuals killed alongside 4 civilians while a further 5 were seriously injured in the ambush.
Blame is laid at the doorstep of the Rwandan genocide militias now known as FDLR, which had earlier attacked a civilian vehicle and then shot up the approaching truck carrying park rangers.
Said the park management in a statement issued:
Conservation groups have condemned the attack and demanded that both Congolese army and UN forces track down and bring to justice the perpetrators and ensure that no further attacks can be staged inside and around the national park.
