10th Edition of the Rodrigues International Kitesurf Festival:
Save the Date – July 31st to August 03rd, 2025
Rodrigues Island will host the 10th edition of the Rodrigues International Kitesurf Festival (RIKF) from July 31 to August 3, 2025. This flagship event will once again bring together kitesurfers from around the world at the legendary Anse Mourouk spot, renowned for its exceptional wind and water conditions.
The official announcement was made on Thursday, February 6, 2025, by Jean-Alain Wong So, Commissioner for Tourism, following a consultation meeting held on January 28 with Jean-Christ Spéville, President of the Rodrigues Kitesurfing Association (RKA), and representatives of the Tourism Commission.
Since its inaugural edition in 2013, the RIKF has become a must-attend event on Rodrigues’ sports calendar, attracting both professional athletes and passionate amateurs. In addition to high-level competitions, the festival offers cultural activities, musical festivities, and initiatives promoting sustainable development.
To mark this special anniversary edition, the festival is innovating by inviting an internationally renowned media personality, a strategic move aimed at increasing Rodrigues’ visibility on the global stage. The detailed program and the identity of this special guest will be revealed at a later date.
To highlight the significance of this key event, the Tourism Commission will also extend official invitations to Mauritius’ Minister of Tourism, Richard Duval, and the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Sydney Pierre, to attend the festival.
With this 10th edition, the Rodrigues International Kitesurf Festival reaffirms its crucial role in promoting Rodrigues as an exceptional eco-tourism destination, blending sport, culture, and environmental preservation.
