NEW ROUTING FOR KLM FLIGHTS TO KIGALI COME NOVEMBER

There will be major changes in the routing of some of KLM’s flights to Eastern Africa, when the winter schedule goes into effect in November this year.
Presently does the Dutch national airline combine their daily flight to Dar es Salaam with Kilimanjaro International Airport, while the six flights a week from Amsterdam to Entebbe route via Kigali.
It is here that the main change will take place as three of the flights to Kigali will from November route from Amsterdam via Kilimanjaro to Kigali leaving three of the Entebbe flights to remain a triangular operation via Kigali, the first airport of call on this rotation. The aircraft used on this service will according to information received also be upgraded from an Airbus A330-200 to the larger Airbus A330-300 version, which should add some 50 more seats and a few more tons of cargo uplift too. There are unconfirmed reports that Entebbe may get some nonstop flights from Amsterdam come November, probably reflecting the demand for seats, but this has yet to be confirmed by the airline. The same applies for Dar es Salaam, which should also see some nonstop services introduced between Amsterdam and the commercial capital of Tanzania.
The airline’s daily flights to Nairobi are operated in codeshare with Kenya Airways, which also flies daily to Amsterdam, offering a convenient morning and night departure both ways.
