LaBa Arts Festival returns to Kampala

11TH LABA ARTS FESTIVAL THEMES ‘UBUNTU

(Posted 24th May 2017)

Festival lovers are counting down to Saturday 27th of May when Bukoto Street in Kamwokya, Kampala will be turned into a festival stage. Visitors can expect fantastic music, a variety of street food, diverse entertainment, interactive workshops and extraordinary art installations as there is something for everyone!
It’s worth coming early because the interactive and participatory projects begin in the morning, for instance there will be a drumming workshop for children starting at 11am.
For the very first time will the festival audience be able to vote for one of their favourite art installations as the LaBa Audience Award will allow a member of the winning collective to travel to Chale Wote Street Art Festival in Accra, Ghana in August this year.
Those in Kampala on business or vacation are most welcome to join the fun and get a first hand feel what a Kampala street festival is all about.
