LET410 crashes on take off in South Sudan

LATE REPORTS OF CRASH DUE TO #COVID19 RESTRICTIONS IN SOUTH SUDAN

Information coming out of South Sudan speaks of a crash on take off at the remote airstrip in Ulang last week.
The Russian registered LET410 aircraft, which first entered service some 45 years ago, appears to have veered off the runway and crashed into vegetation and a building close to the runway.
The aircraft only carried a crew of two who escaped unhurt.
Registered as RA-67066, MSN 750501 did the aircraft sustain extensive damage to wing, undercarriage and one engine.
It could not be established on what mission the flight was and where it had initially come from.
An Air Accident Investigation is underway, led by South Sudanese aviation authorities.
