NOSE WHEEL COLLAPSE APPARENT CAUSE OF NYARIBO ACCIDENT

A Cessna 172 Skyhawk, registered as 5Y-GMM, yesterday suffered a landing incident at Nyeri’s Nyaribo Airstrip (IATA: NYE / ICAO: HKNI).The Kenyan registered single engine plane, MSN 172-68443 was manufactured in 1976 and is according to records seen privately owned.
One of the three occupants of the plane has reportedly been injured in the accident after a nose wheel collapse led to the crash.
And air accident investigation is now underway to establish the precise cause of the accident.
