Visitors to La Digue island on the occasion of the Feast of Assumption this year will be facing the prospects of blackouts and power interruptions at their hotels and residences after an underwater cable, supplying electricity to the island has reportedly developed a problem.
The Feast of Assumption is La Digue’s highest profile event and every year attracts thousands of visitors from across the Seychelles and of course tourists from around the world who come to be part of the celebrations and worship.
