Maryline Zita Marie, former Executive Committee Member of the Seychelles United Movement (SUM) and past Chairperson of its Women’s Organisation, has announced her support for Lalyans Nouvo Sesel and its presidential candidate, Alain St.Ange.
In a meeting with Mr. St.Ange, she made clear that she no longer has confidence in the leadership of SUM, stressing that Seychelles is at a decisive turning point and requires bold leadership, meaningful reform, and a people-first vision. She stated that these values are embodied in Lalyans Nouvo Sesel.
Her announcement was underscored by the decision of two SUM candidates, still officially on the ballot under their party banner, who have formally pledged their support to Alain St.Ange by signing Letters of Support. In their declarations, the candidates expressed confidence in the leadership and direction of Lalyans Nouvo Sesel and have since been calling on voters to rally behind “Vote St.Ange for President.”
With a senior former SUM leader and two of its candidates now openly aligning themselves with Alain St.Ange, the momentum behind Lalyans Nouvo Sesel is accelerating, signaling a growing call for change and a new direction for Seychelles.
